Spanning six acres, this park is home to over 70 butterfly species, flourishing among 150 species of plants that are specifically chosen to support their life cycles. The Butterfly Garden at the Statue of Unity features more than 150 types of nectar plants and larval host plants, all meticulously landscaped to maintain and enhance this diversity, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts.
At the Butterfly Garden at the Statue of Unity, visitors can engage in a variety of educational activities. The well-curated paths allow for close-up views of different butterfly species, each uniquely adapted to its environment. Guests can learn about the various plant species, their roles in the butterflies’ lifecycle, and observe how each butterfly species selects specific plants for nectar or as larval hosts.
